WRITE: Writing Redesigned for Innovative Teaching and Equity in Multilingual Classrooms
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
WRITE focuses on an equity-centered, culturally and linguistically responsive K-12 instructional literacy approach in English and Spanish. WRITE, a national academic excellence model for professional development, supports schools and districts to implement this approach to prepare students for college, career, and civic participation. This innovation supports English and Spanish teachers to become warm demanders, build on students’ strengths, and design dynamic literacy instruction. Each session is designed for practical application across learning contexts (distance, hybrid, in-person), content areas, and languages.
